MR.
HUSSEIN TAVIMYENDA KIVENULE, A VETERAN SOLDIER FOUGHT THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939
– 1945 ON THE SIDE OF ALLIED POWERS
Mr. Hussein
Tavimyenda Kivenule is a Senior Veteran Soldier fought the
Second World War on the Side of Allied Powers (British), in Burma, India,
Europe and other British Colonies.
At the age of approximately 112 years now, Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule, has a fully memory and himself can give explanation fluently on all he knows about his participation during the Second World War; and the places where he participated in the battle against the Axis Powers led by German. Mr. Hussein insists that if he were on the side of the German, he would probably now dead.
Mr.
Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule was born from a Kivenule Clan at Ulefi-Magubike,
Iringa Rural District Western part of Iringa Town. He was the fifth Child in
polygamy family of five children from the first
wife (Ms. Mkami Sekabogo) of Tavimyenda Tagumtwa Kivenule. Mr. Hussein
Tavimyenda Kivenule married two wives, Ms. Yimilengeresa Semsisi and Ms. Dalika Setala and both lived in Mlafu
area after shifting from Ulefi before now ni Magubike. Mr. Husein Tavimyenda Kivenule
was blessed with a thirteen (13) children from two wives he had. The first wife
blessed with 6 children and the second wife 7 children. Unfortunately, he has
lost both two wives.
The
Kivenule Clan has a great history specifically in ethic wars, being involved in
various ethnic tribes’ wars in Iringa and beyond. The KIVENULE
name itself is a reward. It was rewarded as a gift to TAGUMTWA
because of his superiority power in targeting and killing his enemies by using
spears and arrows, after taking a magical medicine which he believed increased
the super natural power and protection. This medicine was taken before entering
to the battle. The term, “KUVENULA” which sounded during the battle had a great
implication and meant ‘devastating enemies by using spears and arrows with an
aid of magical medicine’. Mr. Tagumtwa Balama was a war hero most of the time
due to his impressiveness and marvellous performance in the battle field, and
afterward he rewarded KIVENULE name, as a gift. Very unfortunately, his body
was never recovered after dying in battle field.
Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule is very old now and had never tasted any fruitiness regarding his participation in the Second World War. As human being, we think now it is a time for him to be considered and at least start receiving the humanitarian aid and other privileges he deserves from the British government. As a human being, he had a focus on his life, also had many expectations for the services he offered to the British government especially his marvellous support which involved manhood power, intelligence and liveliness to make sure that they win the Second World War. Really, the Triple Entente won the Second World War.
The
Union of Kivenule Clan for about 8 years have been observing this matter and
doing various researches about the clan, and now is in the position to say that
Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule, had never enjoyed or tasted any benefits from
his participation to the Second World War. Also, The Union of Kivenule Clan has
learnt that there are a lot of consequences which affects him before and now
from his participation to the war. Some of the consequences include a loss of
visual sight (blindness) facing his for the past 10 years now, which appears to
be resulted by gunfire blast dusts. The Union of Kivenule Clan also resolves
that Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule had many expectations after the war
including getting adequate house; security on social services i.e. health
insurance and assurance of his survival up to his death.
The
Union of Kivenule Clan confesses to say that Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule is
living miserable and deprived life (poverty line) at Magubike Village in Iringa
Rural District. As an organization, we call upon concrete measures and high
priority step forward to be taken by the British High Commission to address
this potential issue of Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule on behalf of the
government of the United Kingdom.
We
leaders on behalf of the Union of Kivenule Clan, we are ready to conform, and
offer all the cooperation and the support needed by the British High Commission
in addressing this matter; together with carrying out all the logistics
arrangements regarding visiting and meeting and conducting an interview; along
with doing obligatory interventions with Mr. Hussein Tavimyenda Kivenule. Taarifa nyingine zinapatika kupitia: www.tagumtwa.blogoak.com
